Well, I'm not very rich (30k in the bank and saving), so I don't have any Mursatt Hornbows, Crystallines, Elemental Swords, etc lying around in my storage, but I had a nice experience last night similiar to Destinyy's story above.

I got an elite mesmer tome from a Tombs run chest a few weeks ago and it's been laying around collecting dust. I tried to sell it for 10k a few times, but no takers. Last night I was in LA on other business and saw a Necro typing
"Need Elite Mesmer Tome! Will trade an Elite Necro Tome for it!"

Well, my necro desperately wants SS, but she's nowhere near the Shiverpeaks yet. She's pretty much a factions only character right now. So I jumped on this deal in a heartbeat and now I have 1 happy Necro! (If it's possible to have a happy necro. They all look so serious and glum.)

Not to long ago I came into LA International dist and saw a guy spamming "I'll give 100k for a "brain over brawn" +15% -5e inscription" I thought he was kidding so I pm'd him saying that I had one. He opened trade with me and to my suprise gave me 100k for it.

Since we're talking crazy trades that you benefited from, it was selling my Arbor Earth Staff a few weeks after Nightfall came out.

Hanging out in Kamadan someone said "Buying Arbor Earth Staff 115k!"

PM'd him, things we're said and he said "But trade only goes up to 100k" .. I certainly didn't want to argue and drag it on and on, so I just shut up, put the weapon up, he put up 100k.
Trade was made and hot damn. 100k for Arbor Earth Staff :P

b4 selling anything to anyone just check out guru auction for the current bidding on them and go +15% or +20% above that price in game since in game traders are slow :P

Im not afraid in the slightest. Ecto has been lower than what is at in the past.

@OP nice trade. I sold my +44hp enchant tall shield in la 2 from random spam and that began my power trading career.
